— Denim was first patented by Levi Strauss in 1873 when cowboys were best known for wearing jeans. Since then – from 50’s workwear to 70’s flares and 00’s skinnies – denim has been synonymous with typography related to its industrial American origins. Examples of this formed our main reference point for the design. On the cover, we illustrated the title to set the visual tone. Inside we let the strong photography do the talking. Carefully considered compositions created dynamic layouts to retain readers’ attention throughout the 200-page book. Simple chapter dividers added pace and context to an inspiring and eclectic collection for the fashion-conscious reader.
